Delicious Tacos

ADD2 - Chilli & Lemongrass

Makes 8 Tacos

This is an easy, fast but highly effective dish using ADD2 Chipotle mix. It uses everyday supermarket ingredients and just adds some depth and zing for a truly delicious result.

We’ve added a little recipe for a great salsa that’s quick and easy too to compliment the Tacos.


For the Taco

8 Supermarket Taco shells

500g Lean Beef Mince

1 sachet ADD2 Chipotle

1 Tablespoon of tomato puree

1 tablespoon of chutney or pickle

200ml of beef stock

P&D Chorizo Oil or Veg/spray oil for frying

Optional – Chopped coriander and Red Leicester Cheese for melting

For the Salsa

4 Tbsps Supermarket squeezy salsa

4 spring onions

4 chillis – 2 red – 2 Green

P&D Chorizo Oil or Veg/spray oil for frying


Tacos – in a large frying pan, brown the mince in the oil. Add the ADD2 chipotle mix and stir in. Add the puree, chutney and stock and simmer down until thickened. Divide equally into the Taco shells. Optional – add chopped coriander into the mixture just before filling the Taco shells. Add a fistful of grated red Leicester on top of the filled shells and microwave on full for 1 minute.

Salsa – Using a small frying pan add a little oil and fry the spring onion and chilli on a high heat until the spring onion shows signs of browning. Add the salsa and heat through. Serve over the tacos.

Serving suggestion – Serve with fresh salad and a blob of sour cream.
