Chicken Sleaker Masala

ADD2 Recipe - A tasty Vegetable based sauce that you can add meat or vegetables to

Serves 4


1 Large Sweet Potato

1 Large Carrot

1 Sweet Red Pepper

1 Red or White Onion

1 Tin of Tomatoes (sieved)

1 Stock Pot (chicken or vegetable)

5 Star Anise

Chicken or Vegetables for the main ingredient

1 pint of water

Bunch of coriander chopped

1 packet of Add2 Indian Seasoning


Cube the potato, carrot, onion and the pepper. Put into a large saucepan with the star anise, stock and water. Boil for 20 minutes.

In the meantime season the chicken generously with salt and coarse ground pepper and fry using frying spray. Set to one side.**

Once the veg has boiled to soft, remove the star anise and blend mix to a liquid. Pour back into the pan and add the sieved tomatoes and the packet of ADD2 Indian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and add the chicken or vegetables of your choice. Just before serving add the coriander to the sauce and stir in and simmer for 2 minutes.

Serve with boiled basmati rice.

** You can add the raw chicken to the sauce and simmer for 20 mins to cook through instead of frying. Check the meat is cooked through before consuming.
